Mission Bay is well known for its award-winning music programs.
The neighborhood is home to several small private schools, most of which are associated with religious denominations. St Paul’s Lutheran Church has a preschool and a K-8 school with after-school and summer programs. Baldwin Academy is a preschool for children as young as six weeks. The school has a unique focus on green studies, teaching children about climate change, ecosystems, and environmental conservation.

Homes contain at least three bedrooms, with some homes containing six, and they cover more than 2,000 square feet.
